Over the years, Emergency Air Ambulance has received many letters from families whose expressions of gratitude for medical transportation escorts have touched our staff. You may find those letters in our testimonial section. Our hope is that you may also feel our dedication to our patients:
The patient is secured in the aircraft. Then the passengers take their seats behind the patient. The passenger seats provide a comfortable place for the family to witness the care given.
On international trips, patients who can not sit in an airline seat may still qualify for a commercial airline flight using a medical airline stretcher in the rear of the aircraft at savings of tens of thousands compared to Medivac Aircare.
About 35 percent of our clients have some insurance coverage for Life Flight charters. Generally, medical necessity must be shown. Medicaid, in some instances of medical necessity will cover Life Flight charters. Medicare and Medicare Gap insurances generally do not cover Life Flight charters. Our insurance specialist will gladly work with you to obtain prior authorization from your insurance carrier.
Pets are very important and we understand that so we try to accommodate them as much as possible. Though we can bring many pets onto the aircraft, it’s dependent on size, but generally there’s no problem with it. We do ask that the pet be bathed, also be sedated, have all their shots with records, and be in a small cage if possible just to keep them from interfering with the care give to the patient, the medical staff or with any of the medical equipment while onboard the Angel Flight Houston aircraft.
If you are an executive that travels frequently outside of the United States/Canada throughout the year, don't risk finding yourself ill or injured in a foreign country. Make sure you have a Stat Flight service plan that provides appropriate medical coverage. Patriot Executive provides up to US$1,000,000 of medical coverage for these individuals and their families while they are traveling outside of the United States.
