For your peace of mind, we can definitely supply a doctor onboard. However, we do not typically staff the air ambulance carrier plane with a doctor. The reason that we don’t staff the aircraft with a doctor is because our RNs and paramedics are very qualified to deal with all types of patient care including emergency situations. Our medical director, Dr. Paul March is available 24 hours per day to receive calls from the flight crew and to assist their decision making if necessary.
