Pets are very important and we understand that so we try to accommodate them as much as possible. Though we can bring many pets onto the aircraft, it’s dependent on size, but generally there’s no problem with it. We do ask that the pet be bathed, also be sedated, have all their shots with records, and be in a small cage if possible just to keep them from interfering with the care give to the patient, the medical staff or with any of the medical equipment while onboard the charter businesses aircraft.
Essex Air charters is an aircraft that has been specially equipped with a flight stretcher, advanced life support equipment, medications and a highly trained medical staff to safely, efficiently, and quickly transport your loved one from one location to another.
We do provide discounts; what we like to call it in this industry is a back-haul. If you have a little bit of flexibility we can definitely reduce your costs sometimes as small as $1,500--sometimes as large as $5,000 really determining--really depending on the two trips and how well they coordinate with each other. And when I say a back-haul, what I mean is when you pay for an air ambulance--essentially you’re paying for a round-trip flight because if the flight leaves from Florida to New York, the aircraft is going to have to return to its base in Florida. Now if we can coordinate Aircare with another family in your similar situation who needs to come from the upper Northeast back down to Florida then you won't be responsible for paying the round-trip flight and what we will then do is pass the savings along to both families.
Our Aeromed transportation flight coordinators will manage all aspects of the trip including communicating between sending and receiving physicians, gaining airline medical clearances, obtaining visas, ticketing, coordinating between international hospitals, ambulances, government agencies, and scheduling.
