Since we are a 24 hour jet operators operation, we can respond immediately to your request. It typically takes about 90 minutes to call out a crew and have them prepare the aircraft for takeoff.
I can not thank you enough for all your support, your understanding, hard work and attention to all the little details. Each time, I knew that I did not have to worry about anything because you had everything about the Med Flight planes under control. The flight crew and medical staff were friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the medical condition of my mother. They made us quite comfortable about the whole situation even though my mother was on a ventilator.
Bedside to bedside is a service that we provide and it includes the ground ambulance transport with medical flights. What happens is that ambulance will come and they will pick up our flight crew.
While our jets are the fastest form of Med Flight charters service available, our turboprops and twin engine aircraft are also fully medically equipped and can save thousands of dollars.
Bedside to bedside service means that the medical crew is with the patient from the discharging facility, on the flight, and is with the patient until arrival at the receiving facility. Although many companies do not provide this service for air ambulance services, we feel that bedside to bedside service is very important and we provide this service on every flight. It allows our crews to maintain continuity in care, even while on the ground ambulance and also insures that a detailed medical report is given to the receiving medical crew.
As soon as we coordinate the timing with the family and both the sending and receiving facilities, we set up all the air ambulance charter arrangements; set up all the ground transports, coordinate with the facilities, work-out all of the timing and then we type an itinerary for you. We can send it to you by fax, email or mail, whichever is more convenient, and then our flight coordinator will go over the itinerary in detail with family members.
If the patient is stable and we only need to have one medical attendant then you’re more than welcome to bring two passengers on air charter air ambulance. Let us know of your particular requirements and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
We accept bank wires, certified checks, money orders, personal checks with credit card backup, American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa and insurance if verification and approval have been confirmed prior to flight. One of Air Care air ambulances flight coordinators can assist in insurance verification and benefits.
There’s no additional cost for weekend travel. We will actually arrange and coordinate our life flight program flight schedule around when you want to fly. Because we are an air ambulance, we fly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While no days are more expensive to fly than others, some days can be less expensive. That is because on certain days we can connect flights with other customer’s flights and pass the savings onto you. If you are interested in participating in a connecting flight and have the flexibility to participate we can explore that further.
Our company provides a bedside to bedside service, which means that the Med Flight American transports ambulances will come to pick up your father. My crew-flight crew will be on that ambulance and will go into the facility and switch your father onto our medical equipment, put him right onto the ambulance stretcher and then take him right out to the aircraft. Then we reverse the process on the other side taking the patient directly to the bedside that they are assigned to. By doing this, we ensure continuity of care and the patient is calmer with only one person to solve their needs and to act as a companion.
