All of our Air Care transport planes aircraft are cabin pressurized to maintain a comfortable flight for our patients. In addition, cabin pressurization is important for patient care. At lower pressures, patients require more oxygen and medical equipment operation is compromised. Insist on pressurized cabins for your patient's care.

We travel worldwide. Our flight coordinators will arrange your Medivac transport planes for all customs, immigration, ground transportation, and any other necessary arrangements.

There are a few other alternatives that are generally less expensive than patient transportation charters. A few of those options are Amtrak Transport where we would buy a sleeper car on an Amtrak train line. We would supply it with our medical personnel and then what we’ll do is our medical personnel will assist and transport your family member by train. Another option would be long-range ground transport, which what we do is we organize an ambulance and we’ll be able to staff it with two drivers and also a medical personnel and instead of going by air ambulance, we’ll drive them the entire route.

Between owned and leased air and ground jets planes, we typically do four or five trips per day. We can provide you jets, turbo props and twin engines. We can combine our experienced medical crews and state of the art equipment with partner’s specialty aircraft such as 757’s and Gulfstream V’s to meet even the most critical needs. With a day’s notice, we generally have the aircraft available that you want for your trip. With further notice, we can generally have the aircraft you want at a lower price because we match your trip to others in a way to reduce your cost.

Our nurse will arrange to have the luggage transferred by the ground ambulance to our Essex Air fares aircraft. Remember that space is very limited. You should be able to bring two carry-ons in the ambulance as well as on the aircraft. Our flight crew will manage the transfers for you as well

Our nurses and paramedics have at least five years of experience either in ER or first response to traumas before hiring with us. Then they also go through training to become air certified prior to flying medical transportation charters

One of our most cost effective means of patient transport is Amtrak Medical Escort. Prices are well below air ambulance service advice and long distance ground transport. Patients are accompanied by a critical care nurse or paramedic in a sleeper car on a passenger train. Our nurses provide bedside-to-bedside assistance including supplying monitoring equipment, hygienic assistance and all necessary aid, such as administering medication.

Our patient escort air ambulances service is typically bedside-to-bedside and we include the ground transportation to and from the aircraft as well as the cost for that in your quote. Depending on the medical needs of the patient, we can provide anything from an advanced life support ground ambulance to a wheel chair van transport or stretcher van transport; it could go even be a simple limousine transfer or even a Town Car.

These medical flights, no matter their importance, can be out of reach and cost prohibitive. However, there are organizations that specialize in providing this high level of medical air transportation via a charitable means. They provide high quality medical flights as a mission and might be the best option for patients located far away from the high quality medical care that they need.
