If our aircraft is up in the New York area that’s coming down to Florida, you are more than welcome to fly on the empty leg down. Our Lifeflight plane aircraft are located in multiple areas and it might be difficult to know prior to the trip if our aircraft would be starting from your area. To guarantee that occurence, we can build that into the trip cost. We can customize any trip arrangements that you would like to have.

During a Life Flight transportation trip, our nurse will take care of all her medical and hygiene needs as well as be excellent traveling companions. Some of our patients are Alzheimer patients that sometimes can get agitated during a flight. Our nurses are trained to deal with those special needs.

We will honor any DNR that is filled out by your physician and that contains the required information for carrier charters transport. We will send a copy of your DNR to our Medical Director for review to ensure that it meets the requirements for transport. If necessary, our Medical Director can fill out a DNR for you that meets all the requirements. We just need to be diligent about managing this for you prior to the trip so that your wishes can be honored.

An air ambulance is a fixed-wing aircraft with built in stretcher system and fully equipped with Advanced Life Support (ALS) medical equipment and medical personnel to assist in the transport of an ill person from one city to another, regardless of distance for Life Flight charters.

Our Emergency Air Ambulance team manages the entire process for you. Our Flight Coordinators schedule ground transportation and manage communications between facilities, doctors, case managers, admissions personnel, airport terminals, ambulances, caterers, and families. Our Medical Coordinator manages flight medical crews and insures that proper medical equipment and medications are available for your patient. Our Chief Pilot plans the flight path and manages the aircraft and crew preparation. Our Medical Director insures that your patient receives proper treatment during the transport. Our Insurance Specialist helps manage the paper work for you after your trip is completed. Our team makes your transport as peaceful as possible.

If you are able to predict in advance your departure date, schedule with us an advanced notice trip and save from hundreds to thousands of dollars on jet trips. Typically, an advance notice requires five days.
